Estudio Sahar
research,
education
and cultural outreach
At Estudio Sahar, we work with an academic approach that integrates technique, musicality, and historical and cultural research. We explore both traditional and folkloric repertoires as well as contemporary and stylized stage practices, approaching Arab Dance in all its diversity.
From Buenos Aires, we develop cultural outreach projects that bring Arab dance and music to some of the city’s most prominent cultural institutions through Asia Festival®.
Estudio Sahar®: Education, Research and Cultural Outreach
Founded in 2006, Estudio Sahar® is an institution specializing in Bellydance integrating technical training, theoretical study, and historical research. Our educational approach is structured around a defined curriculum, methodology, and ongoing academic guidance, and extends into cultural outreach initiatives held at prominent institutions within Buenos Aires’ cultural landscape through projects such as Asia Festival®.

BELLYDANCE TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
Estudio Sahar®’s Bellydance Teacher Training Program is a professional teacher-training course that integrates technique, musicality, and theoretical studies within an academic methodology. The curriculum includes subjects such as bellydance technique, ethno-identity dances, Arab music, the history of bellydance, and cultural management. The program is supported by our virtual campus, which provides course materials, bibliography, and ongoing academic guidance.
BELLYDANCE HISTORY STUDIES PROGRAM
There comes a point in your Bellydance journey when learning new techniques is no longer enough: you need to understand how the history of Bellydance has been constructed and the narratives that shape what we do on stage. A rigorous, critical, and accessible program of study designed for teachers and experienced dancers.
Ethno-identity dance teacher training program
ETHNO-IDENTITY DANCE TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM
A pioneering teacher-training program combining practical and theoretical study in ethno-identity dances. Each dance is approached through its native cultural context and its process of stage adaptation during the twentieth century, incorporating its own techniques and movement languages while integrating cultural and performance-based perspectives through Estudio Sahar®’s academic method.
2026 enrollment remains open. Regular and monthly classes, available both in person and online.
